Happy in Hawaii

The day my clients arrived in Hawaii at Mauna Lani Bay Hotel they e-mailed me to say they had been upgraded to ocean front bungalows which are the crème de la crème of this luxury hotel. The two families, each with two young children and very sophisticated travelers, were booked into the very nice two bedroom villas but the upgrade to the bungalows took their breath away. Although used to very high-end resorts, one of the husbands remarked "this is the best place I've ever stayed."

The bungalows, which are often filled with celebrities, have two master bedroom suites with wonderful private baths, a guest bath, large living and dining areas and a spectacular lanai surrounded by saltwater ponds filled with tropical fish. Each bungalow has a large plunge pool; separate Jacuzzi and gas grill for bar-b-que lunches or dinners - and, of course, the ocean panorama.

Travel 100 Group and I personally have sent many clients to this resort and it is always the one-on-one contacts with properties that make the good things happen. I did mention to them they should wear "shades" morning, noon and night to keep the other guests wondering who they were.
